New Release: Born Free

Born Free is a story of a captured woman about to be sold into slavery. She frees herself during an uprising, and went on to stage a revolution her own, freeing enslaved people, and teaching them the art of war in order to be liberated and never be held in bondage again. She feels an obligation and a sense of urgency in her people being free not only physically, but mentally as well, which will lead to spiritual freedom. Sometimes, as much as we might want to keep the peace, blood must flow for those under oppression to rise above.

Though the war was won, there is no happy ending as there is immense loss which breeds a deep wound that requires communal healing. The vision for this song is to have a mental image of the epic unfold with the influence of the music.
